What do we offer?
- We currently offer training in the disciplines of Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu-Jitu. We also offer kettlebell and barbell classes.
- All of our instructors have had fight and competition experience, in addition to extensive coaching experience. Please check our About page for more information.
- Our programs are designed for our students to systemactically improve regardless of athletic ability or experience. We have curriculums in place for all of our beginners to form a strong foundation and provide our more experienced students with the neccessary support to further develop their skills.
- Students enrolled in our academy will see progress and technical development. Members will learn the technique, principle, and art of Muay Thai or Jiu Jitsu with design, purpose, and guidance.
What are your pricing and membership options?
- Monthly memberships are $250. Students will have access to unlimited classes within their skill level. Billing for this membership will renew automatically. Students must communicate in advance if they are only training for one month.
- Weekly memberships are $100. Students will have access to unlimited classes within their skill level. This is a great option for students traveling to NYC or for prospective students looking for a school. Prospective students may apply this tuition to a monthly membership if they decide to enroll before their week expires.
- Drop ins are $30. This option is for out of town students only who have previous experience. We do not offer drop ins to students that have zero experience.
- Observations are free. This is a great option for those who are interested but not sure about financially investing into their training. You can check out the vibes without the committment. Please fill out our contact form to schedule your visit.
Do you provide gloves or a Gi?
- For sanitary purposes, we do not offer glove or gi rentals. We suggest observing a class if you have any hesitations on investing in your own equipment. Please fill out our contact form to schedule your visit.
- We have gloves, wraps, muay thai shorts, team shirts, gis, and rashguards available for sale at an affordable price if you need to purchase your own gear.
If I am a beginner, what classes can I attend?
- The Fundamental classes are great for beginners.
- The All Level classes are beginner friendly but do require some experience.
- The current schedule will apply until December 31st.
Who can attend the Intermediate/Advanced & Advanced Classes?
- Access to the Intermediate/Advanced & Advanced Classes is by instructor approval unless ranked at blue belt or above.
Do you offer Kids classes?
- Monthly tuition for the Kids program is $250 for unlimited classes in both programs, $175 for Jiujitsu only and $125 for Muay Thai only. In order to maintain the integrity of the program, we need students to train consistently. There is a minimun attendance policy of 2 days a week although 3 - 4 days is preferred.
Cancellation policy for recuuring memberships and class reservations.
- Cancelling Recurring Billing: If you need to cancel, there’s a notice of one billing cycle required via email. The cancellation policy is strictly enforced. Once you email, there will always be one bill left. We do not pause memberships for any reason since we don’t require contracts. If you get injured or need time off, please plan accordingly.
- Class reservations and cancellations: Students can cancel their class reservation up to 2 hours before class start time. No shows or late cancellations will be charged a $30 fee only if the class was fully reserved and the space was not able to be filled. Tardy students will lose their reservation to any students waiting to get into a full class. There are no exceptions to this policy. We understand that life can sometimes be unpredictable or unfortunate circumstances arise but out of fairness for our community as a whole, we have to set firm boundaries. We have a responsibility to ensure that everyone has fair opportunity to attend classes and that the classroom is a safe environment.
Is there a uniform policy?
Yes, we require all students to wear Workshop attire in class to promote team unity. We have listed some of our clothing requirements below:
- Workshop team shirt and Muay Thai shorts are required for Muay Thai classes.
- White, Black, and Blue Gi colors only. No exceptions.
- Workshop Gis are required for all students.
- Workshop rashguard and shorts are required for No Gi classes.
- Shorts over spats/tights are required.
- Please do not wear other team/gym apparel in class.
- If you already have an entire wardrobe of Gis, Rashguards, etc. We obviously don’t expect you to throw out your entire wardrobe but only ask that you purchase a team rash guard and gi at your earliest convenience. Gi colors must still be White ,Black or Blue for classes.
Do you have a belt system or a ranking system?
- Our Jiu-Jitsu program follows the traditional ranking system of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu with the belts being: White - Blue - Purple - Brown - Black
- Muay Thai students will have their ‘Level’ noted on to their accounts.
Do you have locker rooms? Showers?
We have locker rooms with daily lockers available. If you need to lock your items, please bring your own lock. We also offer monthly locker rentals. There is a shower in each locker room. We do not offer towel service. Please bring your own toiletries.
What is your policy for Workshop affiliates?
There is no charge for out of state Workshop/ Workshop affiliate students. We only ask for you to have your coach give us a heads up that you are visiting.
Are there any gym and class rules that I should be aware of?
Yes! Listed below are a set of guidelines that we expect all of our students to adhere to:
- Please conduct yourself in a respectful and courteous manner at all times .
- Please treat everyone in the gym with respect and politeness.
- Do your best to be at least 10 minutes early for your scheduled class.
- All training attire and gear must be clean.
- No jewelry, hats or gum chewing are allowed on the mat.
- No shoes are allowed on the mats.
- Flip flops or shoes are required to use the restrooms.
- Nails must be kept trimmed and short.
- Please do your best to remain focused during class and listen quietly during periods of instruction.
- If you have a rash, strange bump, infection, or are not feeling well please stay off the mats.
Please follow these rules to the best of your ability so that we can all have a safe, clean, and healthy training space.
What we are doing to keep you safe during Covid:
- Our mats are cleaned after every class with Hillyard QT-TB hospital grade cleaner designed to kill Staph, Mrsa, Covid, and a wide spectrum of bacteria and fungi.
- All common areas are also cleaned with Hillyard QT-TB cleaner after every class.
- We have purchased HEPA Air Purifiers to help keep the room as clean as possible.
- All of our equipment is wiped down after every use.
- We will also provide disinfectant wipes for students to use on gym equipment.
- Hand sanitizer will be provided in the changing rooms and front desk area for students to use
